Italian born Siria Janis Toccafondi is a lens-based artist, currently attending third and final year of BA (Hons) Photography at Leeds Arts University, in England.
With a vast experience in all genres of photography, Toccafondi develops personal projects along-side being open for collaborations and freelancing opportunities.
In her more personal projects, Toccafondi interrogates the environment photographically, looking for visual stimulations and symbols in her everyday life. Representing her most innocent curiosity, she documents everything that surrounds her, characterising each image with a poetic sensibility.
Research is a key aspect of her practice, with a vivid interest in sociological matters, self-exploration and cultural identity.
In July 2020, Siria's work has been featured on Pupil's Sphere.
In August 2020, Siria has published her first publication "Foglie di Cavolo" with Salt N Pepper Press, which is currently on sale both on the publisher's website and at Village Books.
